Pirodavir is an antiviral compound that belongs to the class of capsid-binding antiviral agents. It acts by binding to the hydrophobic pocket of rhinovirus VP1 capsid protein, preventing viral attachment and uncoating. It was investigated as a nasal spray for prevention and treatment of common cold caused by rhinoviruses.
