Ramoplanin is a glycolipodepsipeptide antibiotic active against a range of Gram-positive bacteria, including vancomycin-resistant organisms. It inhibits cell wall biosynthesis at an earlier step than vancomycin. Mediocon Inc manufactures GMP-compliant Ramoplanin at its Aurangabad facility.
